We have dedicated this section of our website to helping you to understand how the Trust is governed.
The Board of Trustees has responsibility for strategic work across the South Shropshire Academy Trust, but each member school also has a Local Governing Body (LGB).
The LGB is made up of a number of parents; staff and members of the community who are co-opted. Each LGB has a Chair of Governors. The Headteacher sits on the LGB. Minutes and reports discussed in LGB meetings are approved at Trustee meetings.
The LGBs have responsibility for the operational matters within the school and make particular reference to standards; teaching, learning & assessment; and personal development, behaviour & welfare. Currently, the Secondary School has 11 governors and the Primary School has 10 governors.
